I have been SO horrible at keeping up with blogging this summer. Things have just been so busy. For those that actually care, I'll be resuming posts in the next week or so. Until then, here is a sneak peak at what I have to blog about in the future posts.

we've been busy (part 2)

4th of July weekend with the Officer's . . .

It's becoming a tradition. Spending the 4th of July in Steilacoom, WA with our good friends. And we look forward to doing it again next year.

with the officer's & muri's. . . like family :)

the girls around the fire. . . while the boys made "fire" of their own with home-made fireworks.

nothing like a small town celebration!

* i know i'm missing any pictures of the bubs on his first 4th of July...but he slept through everything and you can only have so many pictures of a sleeping baby.

we've been busy (part 1)

Woah...has it really been over a month since i last blogged? Oops...ah well, I'm back now and I'm sure none of you really "missed" me. If you did, it was probably more the pictures of Wyatt that you were missing, huh? It's okay, you can be honest. I won't be offended. He's way cuter than me, so I get it. :)

So yes, we've been busy. Busy travelling, spending time with family and friends, celebrating birthdays, watching Wyatt get bigger and cuter by the minute, and just trying to enjoy the summer, despite all the homework Brett's been doing for his master's classes.

I feel like there's just too much to post about, so I whipped up a calendar of what we've been up to for the last month and a half. . . and what we have still coming up. As much fun as it's been seeing family and friends, all the travelling has worn me out! It's good to be home . . . (even if it is only for another week).

Here are some pictures from trip 1 of our summer....more to come later.

2 months

Wyatt is 2 months old today. He's getting so big so fast and I'm trying my best to simply enjoy every moment. We had his 2 month check-up this morning and he is definitely a healthy little boy! He weighs 12lbs. 13oz (75 percentile) and is 24.5 inches long (95 percentile!), which means he's gained about 5lbs. and grown 4 inches since he was born. What a big boy!! He also had to get a few shots, but handled them like a champ! He screamed bloody murder for about 3 seconds, but as soon as I picked him up, he settled down and was asleep in my arms before I even had a chance to get him in his carseat.

Here are just a few things about our little love bug:

* He loves to snuggle, which is good, because so does his momma.

* He enjoys being in his carseat and stroller, but only if we're moving. If I come to a red light or stop sign while driving, or stop in an aisle at the grocery store, he instantly knows it and would rather be on the move.

* He loves to bounce...in fact, the sure fire way to quiet him down when he's fussy is to sit on a stability ball with him and bounce away.

* He's a definite binky boy.

* He's a strong little dude and has pretty good head control. He loves to stand on mommy or daddy's laps and is enjoying sitting in his bumbo as of late.

* He's giggled twice!

* He loves being on the changing table and that's where we know we can for sure get a smile and a few coos out of him.

* He pees in the bath tub every single time...without fail.

* He is an absolute joy!!!
