a sleepover :)

On Friday night we had the pleasure of watching this little guy

(don't worry - I let him tear up this old phone book)

so that these two

could go on this birthday suprise.

It's always so much fun for us to have Sterling! Having him overnight gave me my first "real" taste of motherhood and contrary to what others might think about taking a baby overnight that's not yours - it didn't make me any less excited to have my own. :)

So I sort of stole this picture of my sister and her fellow "bird girls" from someone I don't even know on facebook. If you remember from my previous post - the seussical characters can't come out after the show in their costumes and make-up and that irritated me! All I wanted was a picture of my cute sister! Well, THANK YOU facebook...

sara's the one in the blue wig and light pink feathers.
also, might I mention how proud of myself I've been at posting on here lately? Normally it will be at least a week or more between posts, but look at me now! (and now that I've said this, I'll probably go back to my norm - oh well, at least I've had this good streak).

friendship like this...

needs no words.

a family weekend

This weekend my parents and siblings were able to come up for a visit and to watch my youngest sister, Sara, perform in Seussical the Musical (which by the way was absolutely fabulous. She was awesome)! It was another fun weekend and once again, reminded me how blessed I am to have the family that I do. We always end up talking about how great it would be if we all lived close to one another and then we argue about where exactly that's going to be. Everyone thinks the rest of the family should move to where they are, but I don't think any of us are actually willing to move ourselves...hopefully one day...

Here are a few pictures from the weekend. I wish I had pictures of Sara in her full make-up and costume, but apparently it is considered "unprofessional" for the actors/actresses to come out after the show with all of that on...whatever.
