We went here:
where we purchased this for the baby's room:
Then we went here for a yummy lunch, courtesy of a Christmas gift card from Brett's sister (thanks, Risa):
After lunch, we walked around here:
where I picked up these for a book club/finer things club I'm a part of:
and last but not least, we got some of this to finish the day off right.
mmmm....phish food. my new favorite, thanks to pregnancy.
It was such an enjoyable day and it got me to thinking about how different life is going to be in just 2 short months. I envisioned us doing all these same things, but with a baby in tow. And while I'm sure you other mothers can agree with the fact that getting out and about with a baby is definitely a little more complicated, I can't help but look forward to our future outings as a family.

Andrew and I just put together that dresser, but in white for our niece. Glad that you two were able to have some time alone before the baby comes. Hope you are able to relax and enjoy this time Brett! =)
It is so much fun to take them out while they are really little and can't move - but once they become mobile you feel like you are torturing them by making them sit in a stroller all day! So, take advantage of the first few months and have lots of family outings!
definitely take advantage of the time together (which i'm sure you do anyway). it takes so much more motivation (and work) to get out with a little one. but it's fun, just different. is brett able to take any time off when you have your baby?
and lol. finer things club. that's from the office right?
jamie,
brett will probably take off a week or so from teaching when the baby first gets here, but then he'll have the whole summer off, so that will be nice.
and yes, the finer things club is from the office. we're awesome, i know. :)
Hey, why arn't we on your friends list...I see how it is!
